one beautiful sunny day

i happened upon the Uffizi Gallery

in gorgeous Italy

saw so many memorable pieces & works of art

the one that caught my eye

the Birth of Venus

depicting the Goddess Venus arriving at the shore

“symbolizing divine love & rebirth”

i was so captivated by it

i stared at it for so long

perhaps hours went by

i purchased a diary with the painting on it

& made a vow to heal with this journal

i kept it throughout my 2025

recounting my travels 

writing of my dreams & desires

also keeping record of reality

full moons, its effects

my happiness, my emptiness

everything in between

i wrote about my first girlfriend

reading back, i get sad but also laugh

nothing like my ideal woman

yet i tagged along

i just wanted love

of course it would not end well

it was not my meant to be

my forever is an artist

she writes about me

paints me, i am her muse

she is creative & constantly creating

like the famous Botticelli 

so will my divine counterpart paint the famous Athena

dedicate books & songs to my liking

will make it known how grateful she is

will thank her lucky stars

that she gets to love me in this lifetime

& will wish for many more

for she knows the woman she holds

& one lifetime is not enough to make it known

she will scream it from rooftops

“i am in love with you!”

& she will take me back to Italy

& she will never let me forget

i am the muse of her dreams
