you wish it was you i cried for

       your aura darkened

you wish you meant something to me

       i wonder why

my heart wouldn’t care

       your chemical makeup

your hurt inflicted on me, i inherited

       through the love i gave

not because of who you are

       but because of who i am

mistakes made  

       love shared between two souls

found another lover

       to fill that hole in your heart

unlearned lessons

       a never-ending cycle

your love a forbidden loop
